Requirements for Red Badge Members

New members to the Rotary Club of the Abingtons are issued a red badge. "Red Badge" members are encouraged to learn more about the functions of Rotary International, District 7410, and our own club. To that end, the club has a list of requirements that should be met before members can turn in their red badge for a blue one. Those requirements include:

  • Attending a district event or district council meeting
  • Attending a meeting at another Rotary Club
  • Joining a committee and volunteering at a club fundraiser or hands-on project
  • Leading the club in the Pledge of Allegiance at a meeting
  • Attending one of the monthly board meetings
  • Bringing a non-Rotarian guest to a meeting
  • Being a Greeter at a weekly meeting
  • Always signing in at weekly meetings
  • Putting a current photo on website profile
  • Create a MyRotary account

Becoming a member of Rotary is indeed an honor, and fulfilling these requirements will help you meet new people, gain an appreciation for other clubs, and understand the impact Rotary is having in our community and around the world.
